Today, Obama did a townhall about health care. Why does he think that his plan will somehow cut government spending? How is insuring more Americans with a Medicare like program going to cut costs? Something doesn't seem right...
Excerpt from news story about today's event:
But he said it was urgent for America to change course on health care, calling rising Medicare and Medicaid costs the biggest threat to the federal budget and deficit. And he said if action does not come this year -- he used the phrase "in the next eight weeks" -- he doubted it would come anytime soon.
"We've got to catch the problem now before it overwhelms the entire economy," Obama said.
